The End of Soccer

Yesterday was the last game of the kids' soccer season. The day was very hot and humid--much different from the beginning of the spring season (only about 8 weeks ago), when games and practices had to be cancelled due to snow! They all had a great time and a great season.


WWD4 is wrapping up his soccer career, for now anyway, after 4 years on Team Ireland. Next year, he's going to focus on football and basketball.

Here's MRD in action. This has been her first year on an all-girls team, the Giraffes. It has also been her last year, as she's also taking a break from soccer to focus on her first sports love (for now anyway)--gymnastics.

And here's our newest soccer star, who's finishing up her first season with the Clash (named for the San Jose Clash pro team). Quite a scrapper on the field, KLD will be sticking with soccer for next year and is looking forward to starting in an all-girls' team.

Next weekend it's on to swim team!
