Today was Mardi Gras, so they made masks and learned about New Orleans.
They also made a Canadian Sugar Pie (while learning about Quebec) which Mary came home raving about. Here's the recipe.

Everyone had a fun & busy day. WWD had a big playdate featuring intense Batman Lego action, and KLD attended a really fun birthday party at the splash park. JPD and MPD had some fun staying home w/Mom, who's feeling much better today--that is, back in control regarding the messy buildup at our home. It's a never-ending clutter war around here, and for a while it seemed the clutter was going to completely take over. Isn't it amazing what something like just sweeping the kitchen floor can do for one's attitude??
