Monday Night Football

Last night WWD's team won their first game!

Picture this: On the way home from soccer practice with some friends a couple of years ago, WWD said: "So Mrs. Pyle (my carpooling friend), what round do you think I'll go in the NFL draft?" (She almost drove off the road laughing.)

So now, of course, it's all coming true: WWD is #66 (the new Ray Nitschke!!) and plays offensive tackle and defensive end. (He told me to tell you that in 4th grade, they have 6 linemen.) He had some great plays last night and several times his coach has taken Bill aside to tell him how well WWD is doing in practice. Obviously, we're thinking NFL is in his future, big time. :)











WWD LOVES football; I know it is in his blood and this gridiron fanaticism is his Texas grandpa coming out in him. No kidding--it's hard to believe that they never even knew each other. He couldn't look and act more like his football-obsessed grandpa if they were spending every weekend in front of the Longhorn game together.


Some of the pictures are blurry because MPD (aka Eli Manning) was in the Baby Bjorn, trying to grab the camera out of my hand whenever I took a picture. As for him, he was pretty fired up about the whole Monday Night Lights experience too!
